Jackie Millan - Chair

Hello, I'm Jackie. I'm married and have a son. We all have Achondroplasia. We would be happy to share our experiences as a family living with short stature. For e.g. share our knowledge of adaptations to our home and car. I am prepared to travel to various parts of Scotland to meet people of restricted growth and their families. Please feel free to contact me should you have any enquiries.

 

Ross Marshall - Vice Chair

 I am 4ft 8" tall. I live in Kippen with my wife Tina who is of average height. We are currently awaiting the arrival of our first baby.

If you want to speak to someone who has experience of limb lengthening, competing in international Dwarf Athletics competitions, parachute jumping, acting, or sub-aqua diving then please contact me.

Hi! I am currently studying for a degree in accountancy at Glasgow University.  

Richard Copeland - Youth Coordinator

Hello my name is Richard Copeland, I am 17 years old and live in a small town just a few miles north of Glasgow. Recently I received my higher grade results, and achieved 5 higher passes : AABBC. I am in my final year, and got the grades I need to get into university, so I am in the process of applying.

Hi! I am a mother of average height and have a 4 year old son with Ellis-van Creveld syndrome, which is a type of short-limbed dwarfism. My daughter is average height. I am happy to travel to anywhere in mainland Scotland as long as I get sufficient notice. If you want to talk to a parent who has a child with breathing problems (tracheostomy/ventilator) due to restricted growth and heart defects, please contact me. I also have experience of dealing with feeding problems - tube feeding, reflux, fundoplication surgery, and introduction of oral feeding.

I am a mother of average height and have a daughter with achondroplasia. I am prepared to travel to Edinburgh/Glasgow and immediate surrounds.
